Code of ethics
CODE OF ETHICS
Stanley’s Post Code of Ethics (Ethical Policy) provides ethical and responsible guidelines that we use to run our company and guide our work with clients, the community, our team, and other stakeholders.
If you are a potential client researching our company, potential or current employee, this information might also help you better understand what working with Stanley’s Post is like.
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
As a creative company, we understand that Stanley’s Post can positively impact our stakeholders, clients, community, society and the planet in ways unique to our industry and business model.
GOVERNANCE
At Stanley’s Post we believe our ethical corporate governance practices should be the cornerstone of our company’s commitment to using business for good. To honour this commitment, Stanley’s Post will:
Always aim to pursue returns for all stakeholders, not just shareholders: we will try to create multiple forms of value and share this value with our networks. We will always try to avoid harm and negative consequences in our work, including unjust physical or mental injury, destruction or disclosure of information, or damage to property, reputation, and the environment.
At the very least we are always honest, trustworthy, and transparent, as well as fair and accountable. We respect the work required to produce new ideas and give credit where it is due, whether internally, or externally from our community.
We respect privacy and honour confidentiality for all stakeholders, strive for the highest quality in everything we do and maintain high standards of professional competence, conduct, and ethical practice.
We prioritise collaboration: utilise peer and stakeholder review in our work, processes, and internal practices and embrace principles of continuous learning, organisational agility, and design thinking. We evaluate systems and their impacts on potential risks.
We encourage acceptance and adoption of environmental and social responsibilities by all team members.
ENVIRONMENT
Without a healthy environment, it is impossible to create a just society or shared prosperity for members of that society. Everyone is responsible for caring for and nurturing this planet we call home. This is not a responsibility we take lightly. To honour our ecological commitment, Stanley’s Post will:
Aim to apply sustainability principles to our work, strive to reduce emissions in our company operations and move to power our products and services with renewable energy whenever possible. We aim to maintain a healthy work environment with ecological features, such as living plants. As a business we promote positive systems change when possible and aim to grow at an intentional, yet sustainable pace.
PRIVACY AND SECURITY
We honour client and stakeholder privacy and the security of the systems we work with. To that endeavour Stanley’s Post will:
Respect the privacy of client and user data by adhering to guidelines set forth by The General Data Protection Regulation (EU), and maintain a baseline system that is hardening against security attacks by identifying potential risks, keeping software up-to-date, and alerting clients whenever we discover a known threat.
COLLABORATION AND TRANSPARENCY
To maintain great customer relationships that are mutually beneficial and based on trust and transparency, Stanley’s Post will:
Prioritise honesty and transparency in all communications, value collaboration and co-creation to more efficiently execute projects, include customers and end users in our research, design, and execution of projects and wherever possible, measure success and value. We aim to create value to all clients and stakeholders within our business.
CUSTOMERS
We greatly value our customer relationships. Our clients are, after all, the reason we exist.
We commit to working with clients who share our values. The company seeks projects that improve social and environmental standards, enhance the quality of life, and actively contribute to a better future. We screen prospects on a case-by-case basis.
Our customers are a huge part of our journey. Inspiring businesses to consider greener, more conscious options is exciting!
As creatives, we have the power to open minds and spread awareness.
EXISTING CLIENTS
Our principles should not just apply to new clients. We should always aim to ensure that our ongoing client relationships are healthy and aligned with our values and needs as a team. In addition to keeping an eye on the above principles, we should also regularly check the following for existing clients:
Do we enjoy working with them and do they treat us with respect?
Are we the right fit for them and able to fulfil their needs?
TEAM & WELLBEING
At Stanley’s Post, we recognise that our team members are people with lives, families, and commitments beyond work. We’ve built our culture around mutual support and genuine connection; not just professional collaboration, but human understanding.
We believe that creativity and craft require both mental clarity and physical wellbeing. When our team members are supported holistically, they bring their best selves to their work. That’s why we prioritise wellbeing through flexible working arrangements where possible that respect personal commitments, create ongoing opportunities for learning and professional growth, have regular conversations about workload and sustainable pacing, and a range of activities that foster connection and balance both in and out of the office.
Strong work comes from people who feel valued, heard, and supported. We’re committed to creating an environment where our team can speak openly about capacity and boundaries, do meaningful work, and maintain a healthy, sustainable pace.
JEDI PRINCIPLES (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion)
We’re committed to building a studio where justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion aren’t just values we talk about; they’re principles we actively work to embed in our decisions, our processes, and our relationships with collaborators and clients.
We stand firmly against racism and discrimination in all forms. We support civil rights and work to align our practices with these commitments, recognising that this requires ongoing learning, accountability, and action.
When we make decisions at Stanley’s Post, we’re guided by our shared values and the collective good of our community. We believe that creating a fair, inclusive workplace means consistently choosing what’s right over what’s convenient and ensuring that no individual agenda undermines the wellbeing and equity of the group.
This work is never finished. We’re committed to listening, reflecting, and evolving our approach as we grow.
OUR DIVERSITY STATEMENT
At Stanley’s Post, we believe our best work comes from collaboration with people who bring different perspectives, experiences, and approaches to the craft of retouching and post-production.
We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone can contribute meaningfully—where diverse voices don’t just have a seat at the table, but actively shape our creative decisions, workflows, and the direction of our studio.
We value mutual respect, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit. We actively seek opportunities to work with diverse teams of collaborators and clients, recognising that varied backgrounds and ways of thinking make our work stronger and our culture richer.
Inclusion isn’t just about who’s in the room; it’s about who feels empowered to speak up, who gets heard, and who has the opportunity to grow. We’re committed to creating those conditions, and to continuously examining and improving our practices.
COMMUNITY
Stanley’s Post was born London in the heart of the advertising and marketing community and love being part of the city’s eco system. We also know that much work is needed to protect our surrounding environment, tackle the poverty divide on the fringes of our community.
By introducing more inclusive and charitable practices, we will support local business where possible. This includes working with local companies, suppliers and social activities for the team.
Stanley’s Post commits to ethical stakeholder community-building in the following ways:
Foster education and public awareness of design, digital marketing, sustainable business practices, and their potential consequences (unintended or otherwise)
Provide equitable educational benefits through mentorship programmes
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of community members
ETHICAL MARKETING AND ADVERTISING
Honesty is our guide in all sales, marketing, and advertising. We will make only complete, factual, and truthful statements about our company and its services. We will also work with our clients to ensure information integrity in the communications and advertising material which we create on their behalf.
ETHICAL FOUNDATION
Stanley’s Post exists in an always evolving industry amidst a constantly shifting cultural and technological landscape. We are a digital retouching, CGI and production fulfilment service company, committing to growth only when it makes sense for most stakeholders. As such, we can only do what our resources allow whilst meeting financial and impact-related goals.
We ground everything we do in strong ethical principles that help us navigate uncertainty and chart a clear course through disruption. Our code of ethics is part of the driving force for how we accomplish this.
